Discover the Grandeur of Cupola House
Built in 1758 by Francis Corbin, the Cupola House is a historic gem overlooking Edenton Bay. After facing neglect and near ruin, a dedicated community effort in 1918 led to its preservation by Cupola House Association, Inc. Today, the house stands restored with its formal gardens, a testament to the commitment of those who saved this architectural landmark. Learn about the Historic Location. We invite you to immerse yourself in American history through our guided Cupola House tours available every Friday and Saturday. Experience the elegance of the Georgian architecture and the tales that echo through the halls of this historic landmark.

Indigo Productions , Inc., a documentary film company in NYC, was commissioned to capture not just the story of the 1758 woodwork and its return, but the history of the Cupola House, the remarkable story of its rescue, and the dedicated work of the Association founders -- and those who followed them -- in preserving the house and preparing it for the years to come. Â Once completed, the film will stand as a testament to the efforts of the Cupola House Association founders as well as a history of this extraordinary building and its important role at the heart of the Edenton Community.
Help us support this important project today! Â The completed documentary will be part of the Homecoming Gala on September 19, 2026 where it will be shown to the community for the first time as we celebrate the completion of this restoration project.
